March 08, 2026Selling Your Flight Tickets
Do you have a non-refundable flight you can no longer use? You may be able to recover some or all of your money by selling it to someone else!
Step 1: Visit Gadobo and submit your details. In the dropdown box, search for your airline. If you find it, it means they are known to allow name changes. If you can’t find it, you should call their customer service to see if they will make an exception for you. Even the strictest regular airlines sometimes allow it for loyal clients or special circumstances.
Step 2: Choose your posting method. You can list the flights yourself—it takes less than 5 minutes and the standard listing service is designed to be user-friendly. Alternatively, you can use our assisted options where we help find your booking and list the flight for you, creating a Gadobo account in the process if you haven't registered already.
Step 3: Provide ticket details. If you post the flight yourself, look for the information (“i”) circles for guidance. If the name change fee structure is simple, our system will automatically fill it out. For more complex airlines, you can find detailed information on our Airline Fees page to ensure your listing is accurate.
Step 4: Buyers bid for your flight! You will receive an email when you have a bid. You are free to accept or reject the bid, or to offer an alternative price in the comment box to negotiate a fair deal.
Step 5: Buyer pays and you transfer the ticket. After you accept a bid, the buyer sends the agreed amount to Gadobo’s secure escrow. When they do, you will receive an email to finalize the process. Follow the link to find the buyer's passenger details. For most airlines, you can change the passenger names online.
Step 6: Get paid! Gadobo will send you the money after you are no longer able to make changes to the reservation. In most cases, this will be after the last flight in the booking takes off, ensuring a secure exchange for both parties.
Tips for Success:
-
Check your spam folder: Keep an eye out for emails from Gadobo so you don't miss out on a potential sale.
-
Reply promptly: Travelers often need to make quick decisions. If you take too long, the buyer may book elsewhere!
-
Promote your listing: Spread the word via Facebook, X, and other social media platforms to increase your chances of a high bid!
